Rana Rehan Zaid

As the founder of Prominence Consulting, LLC, Mr. Zaid manages nearly $200 million in assets across the United States, achieving remarkable growth since the firm’s inception. He is currently an Investor in Prominence Hospitality Group, an affiliate of Prominence Consulting, LLC. Before launching Prominence Consulting, LLC, he played a key role at several leading firms including Bask Management, LLC, Pearlshire Capital Group, and HVS Global Hospitality Services, providing extensive consulting and valuation services for institutional investors, sovereign funds, REITs, and family offices. Notable projects he contributed to include The Langham Hotel, The Godfrey Hotel, Hyatt Loop Chicago, Radisson Blu Aqua Building, and the Apple REIT 6 sale to Blackstone for $1.2 billion.

Zaid earned his bachelor’s degree from DePaul University’s Driehaus College of Business, specializing in Hospitality Leadership & Lodging Management with a focus on Real Estate Finance. He founded DePaul’s American Hotel & Lodging Association student chapter and the DePaul Hospitality Society. His ongoing involvement with the university includes serving on the Advisory Board of the School of Hospitality and Sports Business, where his contributions have been recognized with the Alumni of the Year Award.

Dedicated to community service, Mr. Zaid serves on the Board of Directors for the Asian American Coalition of Chicago and has chaired the Lunar New Year Gala, the largest annual celebration for the Asian American community in the Midwest, which gathers over 1,500 leaders from more than 300 organizations. He also does ongoing work with Developments In Literacy, and the Organization for Pakistani Entrepreneurs in North America (OPEN). He has also served a term as a Trustee member of Elgin Academy, his alma mater.

Widely recognized as a leader in the industry, Mr. Zaid has been a speaker at the Lodging Conference in 2023 and 2024. Over the years he has been featured as an expert in the “Executive Roundtable Series” and quoted in various publications, including Hotel Management,  Hotel Business Online,  Otelier, and Crain’s Chicago Business. He was named one of Bisnow’s “Chicago Real Estate’s Rising Stars” and is an active member of the Emerging Leaders Network, having previously served on the executive committee for InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) and the IHG Global Technology Committee.
